A new medical marijuana dispensary is opening in Bossier City, which would make it the first medical marijuana facility in Bossier City. More details below on what makes medical marijuana different from something like Delta-8 or CBD, and when we might expect to see the new Bossier facility open.
Bossier’s First Medical Marijuana Dispensary
Good Day Farms has a new location being prepped for opening in Bossier City at 4590 East Texas Street. Good Day Farms claims to be the South’s top medical marijuana dispensary brand, having a foothold in Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
There might be some confusion in calling this new location the “first” medical marijuana dispensary, as there are smoke shops and places that claim to be dispensaries selling THC products like Delta-8 and Delta-9 as well as CBD products.
Delta-8 is Not THC
Those stores are not medical marijuana dispensaries, in fact, they don’t even sell marijuana (for the most part). Delta-8 and similar products are not standard THC like medical marijuana, instead, Delta-8, Delta-9, THC-A, THC-P, THC-H, and others are all chemicals only slightly different from THC, which is why they can be legally sold without all of the medical prescriptions.
Usually, these Detla versions of THC are genetically engineered to grow from hemp flowers instead of marijuana flowers.

Legal variants of THC became legal federally under the 2018 Farm Bill, states then took it upon themselves to create laws on who can purchase, consume, sell, grow, etc.
The standard THC strain is still illegal under federal law, but some states have taken it upon themselves to legalize the controversial substance or at least allow for medical use.
Good Day Farms in Bossier City Opening Soon
When asked when the new location would be opening Good Day Farms told us to check back to their social media pages for more info when it’s available. The new building has a sign-up at the corner of East Texas Street and Swan Lake Road in Bossier City, right next to Fuzzy’s Taco Shop.
